Curriculum
All 7 CCAR-P exam domains, taught in blueprint proportion
Sixteen live sessions across 8 weekends, starting from a business problem and ending with a capstone you personally defend. Every module carries its real exam weight, with Integration at 19% and Solution Design at 17% leading the way, and nothing in between gets skipped.
1The Architect's Frame: Business → ArchitectureWeek 1
Where every engagement starts: translating a business problem into a Claude architecture you can defend on value, cost and SLA.
- Translating business problems into Claude-based solutions
- End-to-end architectures: input → processing → output → feedback loops
- Workflow vs agentic vs augmented-LLM pattern selection
- Multi-agent orchestration strategies; decomposition techniques
- Aligning to business value pillars: efficiency, transformation, cost, performance SLAs
2Models, Prompting & Context at ScaleWeek 2
Model economics and prompt architecture for systems with real traffic: caching, modular prompts and guardrail design.
- Model selection trade-offs at enterprise scale
- System prompts, templates and guardrail design
- Zero-shot, few-shot, chain-of-thought, where each earns its tokens
- Context-window optimization and token management
- Prompt reuse: caching, modular prompts, Skills, the 8,000-token-system-prompt problem
3RAG ArchitectureWeek 3
The exam's single most technical territory: retrieval design matched to data shape and query pattern, and the failure modes that follow a bad refresh.
- RAG pipeline design: chunking and indexing strategies
- Retrieval strategies matched to data shape and query patterns
- Diagnosing retrieval failures: confident-but-wrong after a document refresh
- Progressive discovery vs monolithic context strategies
4Integration Protocols & SecurityWeek 4
Connecting Claude to the enterprise without creating the breach: protocol selection, least privilege and capability audits.
- MCP vs API/CLI vs agent-to-agent: selecting the integration mechanism
- Authentication and authorization gap analysis
- Tool/agent capability-bloat evaluation; least-privilege redesign
- Accuracy–latency trade-off analysis; observability and monitoring at scale
5Evaluation, Testing & ObservabilityWeek 5
Proving the system works, and knowing first when it stops: metrics, eval datasets, A/B methodology and diagnosis.
- Defining metrics: accuracy, latency, cost, safety, security
- Designing eval datasets and mixed-methodology test frameworks
- A/B testing and iterative improvement
- Diagnosing prompt failure vs hallucination vs model mismatch
- Logging and observability tooling
6Governance, Compliance & RiskWeek 6
The judgment layer enterprises pay architects for: guardrails, human-in-the-loop, and regulation-specific scenario clinics.
- Guardrail and safety-control implementation
- Risk, limitation and failure-mode identification for LLM systems
- Human-in-the-loop validation strategies
- GDPR, HIPAA and FedRAMP compliance scenario clinics

Certification & Partnerships
The official credential this program prepares you for
Every module maps directly to the current public CCAR-P exam blueprint, v1.0, effective July 2026, including the stakeholder and governance domains most technical programs skip entirely. A typical self-paced video platform gives you recordings. A generic question bank gives you MCQs. Neither gives you a certified trainer, a defended capstone architecture pack, two domain-scored mocks, or a walkthrough of the real Pearson VUE registration. This program does.

Frequently asked questions
What exactly is the CCAR-P certification?
Claude Certified Architect – Professional is Anthropic's highest credential: an official, proctored exam validating that you can design, build and deliver production-grade Claude solutions end to end, including RAG, integration, evaluation, governance, compliance and stakeholder communication. 63 questions in 120 minutes via Pearson VUE, passing at a scaled 720/1000, across 7 domains.
How is Professional different from Architect Foundations (CCAR-F)?
Foundations tests system-level design judgment on six defined scenarios: agents, Claude Code, tools, structured output. Professional tests the enterprise lifecycle: RAG architecture, integration protocol and security decisions, evaluation frameworks, regulatory compliance and stakeholder management. Foundations is a strong stepping stone but not a prerequisite, you can sit CCAR-P directly.
What experience do I need?
Anthropic recommends 3+ years in systems architecture or platform engineering and 6+ months of Claude (or comparable LLM) systems in production. There are no mandatory prerequisites for the exam. Our cohort assumes you can read architectures and code confidently; the capstone will stretch you regardless of seniority.
Is the Anthropic exam fee included?
No. The certification exam is conducted separately by Anthropic through Pearson VUE and its fee of $175 is paid directly at registration. Anthropic currently runs certification registration through its Partner Academy, in the final week we walk you through the official registration and scheduling process step by step, plus exam-day rules and the retake policy.
What is the capstone architecture defense?
Across the 8 weeks you assemble a full enterprise pack, solution architecture, RAG design, security review, eval plan, compliance assessment and ADRs, for a realistic case. In Week 8 you present it to a mock review board of trainers who challenge your decisions, exactly like a real architecture review (and like the judgment the exam tests). The session is recorded so you can use it in interviews.
What if I miss a live session?
Every session is recorded and you get lifetime access to the recordings, along with the lab files, question bank and community. You can catch up any time and still join the next weekend live.
